Haroun Abou Arrah, aged 29, was arrested on September 27 following reports of at least five victims who were raped at his 5th floor flat at 112 Ippokratous Street. The young man placed a classified ad stating that the flat was for rent at a low price before beating, threatening and raping the young women who came to see the flat.

Neighbors were shocked by the news that the young man from Palestine, who kept a low profile, had raped a young Italian woman on September 5, a Norwegian from September 26 and at least three others.

There are reports that he brought a number of women to the flat.
