Kristin Wolfe is the F-35 demonstration team commander

The Greek public will have the unique opportunity to experience the incredible capabilities of an F-35. And there will be a woman in the cockpit.

On September 2-3, the celebration that goes by the name of Athens Flying Week kicks off, and the F-35 will take centre stage, making its first demonstration of its capabilities in the Greek skies in front of the public.

As it was announced by the organisers, the USAF responded in the affirmative to the invitation of the Athens Flying Week organising committee and gave the green light for the participation of the state-of-the-art 5th generation fighter in the largest Airshow of Greece and the Southeastern Mediterranean.

As noted in a related announcement, the US Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team is coming to Tanagra with Kristin “BEO” Wolfe in the cockpit of the F-35, promising a truly impressive show.

Kristin Wolfe is the F-35 demonstration team commander who followed in her father’s footsteps in the Air Force but is now creating her own legacy in the cockpit of America’s most advanced fighters.

As a senior pilot with more than 1,000 flight hours, Wolfe has gained experience in a variety of aircraft, including the T-6, T-38C, F-22A, and F-35A.

Wolfe entered the military in 2011 after receiving a promotion from the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Alabama.

She is currently serving at Hill Air Force Base in Utah after fighter training and operational deployments to Texas, Florida, and Virginia.

As commander of the F-35 demonstration team, Wolfe oversees a crew that showcases the unique airborne capabilities of the Air Force’s fifth-generation flagship fighter and the legacy that led to this technological marvel.
