First case of Ebola diagnosed in Texas, US

According to health officials, all the necessary measures have been taken and the patient is hospitalized in Dallas in strict isolation

A man who flew from Liberia to Dallas this month was diagnosed with Ebola and becomes the first person to unknowingly bring the disease in US from West Africa.

According to CNBC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the first appearance of the deadly virus in US. The necessary measures have been taken and the patient is hospitalized in Dallas in strict isolation.

Health officials attempting to tamp down any hysteria emphasized that the U.S. medical system is well equipped to halt the spread of the disease.

“We’re stopping it in its tracks in this country,” Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a news conference.
