France: 10,000 military personnel in the streets

President Francois Hollande “asked the armed forces to participate in securing vulnerabilities”

On Tuesday, France will mobilize 10,000 military personnel for the security of “sensitive points within the French territory”, after the attacks on Paris, according to the French Defence Minister.

President Francois Hollande “asked the armed forces to participate in securing vulnerabilities”, while the Defence Minister highlighted the “range of threats” that the country still faces.

France has already reinforced today’s security forces for the possibility of further terrorist attacks, starting with the safeguarding of Jewish schools and places of worship, the day after a historic day on which nearly 4 million French and foreigners marched against terrorism.

Nearly 5,000 policemen and gendarmes have been mobilized today to protect the 717 schools and places of worship of French Jews, while the “Manhunt continues” in order to find at least one of the accomplices of the perpetrators of the attacks in Paris, according to the government.
