FYROM raises a second fence along its border with Greece

Αccording to information, the fence’s length is extended to approximately 35 km

The government of FYROM ordered to raise a second fence along its border with Greece, in the neutral zone between Idomeni and Gevgelis putting its announcements for stricter measures and migrants controls into practice.

The country’s army has already begun the construction works by cleaning and setting up the area, while FYROM’s troops have already raised a parallel fence at Idomeni-Gevgelis neutral zone from which refugees are entering the country.

Last November, FYROM had raised a wire fence in the neutral zone between Idomeni and Gevgelis so as to “create a basic point from which refugees would enter the country”, as FYROM claimed.

The fence has been extended to other points of its border with Greece, and, according to information, the fence’s length is extended to approximately 35 km.
