Greek bouzouki player to pretty Brazilian police officer – “Come with me to Greece…in handcuffs” (viral video)

The musician was invited by the Greek Diaspora of São Paulo

A virtuoso bouzouki player from Larissa has driven the whole of São Paulo crazy with his riffs, even the police. Dimitris Katsiouras, the musician in the video posted footage that has gone viral.

The musician was in the country of samba as a guest of the Greek diaspora of São Paulo and offered an unforgettable evening.

“So, invited by the Greek Diaspora of São Paulo, I experienced a fantastic, moving evening. Greeks and Brazilians embraced us and honoured us incredibly! The tour in Brazil continues with madness!” he wrote in his post.

But the nice experience for Dimitris came in the centre of São Paulo where he was with his little baglamas (a smaller bouzouki-like instrument). In the video he has uploaded, he is surrounded by Brazilian policemen and plays an old rebetiko song, “These cops who are here now”.

The policemen, who obviously don’t understand the lyrics, seem to enjoy it.

Shortly afterwards Dimitris gave his baglamas to a policewoman to play. “You’ve got that nice red nail, you inspire me!” he says to her and continues: “A policeman in São Paulo plays the baglamas in the centre of town. This has never happened before. My girl, I’ll take you to Greece, you. There, in handcuffs, we can be together.”
