Greek FinMin Tsakalotos: We adopted wrong mixture of policies

Greek Minister spoke at European Commission conference

Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos admitted that the Greek government had failed to focus on implementing measures that would have boosted growth during his speech at conference in Brussels held by the European Commission, Thursday. Tsakalotos underlined that some of the reforms adopted by Greece were in the right direction, adding however, that some did more harm than good.

‘One of the problems with globalisation is that the implementation of some reforms, in the work market for example, results in some winning and others losing’, he said in his speech. The Greek Finance Minister expressed the view that a combination of structural reforms and measures to boost growth and investment was the right mixture, something, he claims, was not done with the Greek program.
