The Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists late Thursday that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will visit Moscow on two dates, April 8 and May 9. Peskov said that the visits comes following an invitation that Russia extended to the Greek leader.
The April 8 date is a working visit to cover a wide range of cooperation issues between Russian President Putin and Tsipras, including trade, investment, humanitarian issues and culture. The men will also exchange views on current international crises. A series of bilateral agreements are set to be signed after discussions.
The May 9 visit coincides with the annual events to commemorate the then Soviet Union’s victory against Nazi Germany and the latter’s allies.
