A suspicious suitcase caused the police to seal of the stadium

Police sealed off Hannover stadium staging the friendly game between Germany and the Netherlands after finding a suspicious suitcase.
Fans were held back due to the suspicious object was found at the stadium.

The game was to be attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several cabinet ministers, four days after the terrorist attacks in Paris where Germany was playing France in a friendly game that suicide bombers tried to disrupt and blew themselves up outside.

German media noed that an ambulance truck filled with explosives was found near the stadium.

Police has asked citizens to stay indoors, and some metro stops have been closed to the public.

Checks are taking place on pedestrians and cars.
