Hellenic Post(ELTA) announced a series of collectible stamps to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of Domenicus Theotakopoulos, a master painter of the Spanish Renaissance that is popularly known as ‘El Greco’.

The series and associated products that include first-day circulation envelopes are currently on sale at post office branches. The stamps depict details from El Greco’s painting “The Burial of Christ” that is part of the collection of the National Gallery of Athens.

The stamps and other philatelic products associated with the great painter are available at the central philatelic shop at the corner of 5 Lykourgou and Apellou streets and post office branches are also selling the stamps while stocks last.
