French President Francois Hollande spoke by phone on Friday with Greek PM Alexis Tsipras, a day after the latter tendered his resignation as a prelude to snap elections.
According to reports, the two men discussed the current — and still fluid — political situation in Greece
Beyond the French leader, Angela Merkel’s first reaction to the Tsipras resignation was positive, saying it is “part of the solution, not part of the crisis”.
