Hostage situation ends aboard passenger ferry, Kriti 2

An end to the hostage situation!

A hostage situation aboard the passenger ferry, Kriti 2, en route from Crete to Piraeus ended when the police stormed on board shortly before the ship docked. Early reports showed that a passenger, aged 30, held a female hostage on board, threatening her with a broken glass. The two bore no relation and the situation unfolded after the man grabbed her from the central lounge where she was sitting with her husband.

Crew members distanced the other passengers, roughly around 600 people, from the scene as the situation unfolded.
