The Hungarian government announced that plans to deliver to the Iraqi authorities millions of bullets, thousands of anti-tank rockets and artillery shells for tanks “in the fight against terrorism”

Hungary while coordinating their movements with the other European countries, will deliver ammunition in Iraq, where authorities have engaged “in the fight against terrorism,” said the Hungarian government in a statement, which is in the possession of the French Agency.

The Hungarian government said that they plan to deliver to the Iraqi authorities among others millions of bullets, thousands of anti-tank rockets and artillery shells for tanks.

The Hungarian Minister of Defense insisted in a separate communication to the threat raised by the advance of Islamist militant Islamic State (IR) for Christians and members of other minorities in Iraq.

The Hungarian prime minister the conservative Viktor Orban asks for the matter of Iraq’s Christians to be put on the agenda of the European Council meeting at the end of the month.

Budapest’s decision follows the ones by Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy, whose governments have announced in recent days that would deliver weapons to Iraqi Kurdish fighters who are fighting against the jihadists of IR.

The Foreign Affairs Council of the EU gave last week the green light which convened urgently in Brussels.
