Imprisoned Golden Dawn members’ request to attend parliament vote, denied

The request of the members was examined by the advocate supervisor of the Korydallos prisons who decided against such an action

The Golden Dawn “guests” in Korydallos prison will not be attending Parliament for a vote of confidence in the government    since the advocate supervisor of the prison denied their request for granting them emergency leave.

In particular, general secretary of the Golden Dawn party Nikos Mihaloliakos and parliamentary members Elias Kasidiaris, Yannis Lagos, Christos Pappas, Panayiotis Iliopoulos and Stathis Boukouras (now an independent MP) asked to attend the three-day confidence vote process in parliament, and to vote.

The request of the members was examined by the advocate supervisor of the Korydallos prisons who decided against such an action.

According to reports, however, other Golden Dawn members jailed in other prisons have not requested the same thing.

The debate in the House for a vote of confidence is scheduled to begin in the afternoon at 6 p.m. and will be concluded on Friday night.
