International Conference on “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East”

The conference will take place in Athens from 18 to 20 October

On the initiative of Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, an International Conference on “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East” will take place in Athens from 18 to 20 October.

Participants in the Conference include Foreign Ministers, heads of Christian Churches, religious leaders and figures of the Muslim and Jewish worlds, as well as distinguished representatives of international politics, the academic community and civil society.

The Conference proceedings will begin on Monday, 19 October, at 09:30, with an opening speech by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, and will culminate on the afternoon of Tuesday, 20 October, with the adoption of Plenary Conclusions and a closing address by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias.

Immediately following the closing of the Conference, at 12:30 on Tuesday, 20 October, Foreign Minister Kotzias will hold a press conference.
