Chiefs of the committee for the revision of the constitution were voted on Thursday

Conservative New Democracy ND Ioannis Tragakis was elected on Thursday as president for the Greek Parliamentary Committee for the Revision of the Constitution. Socialist PASOK MP Costas Triantafyllos was voted in as vice president and Independent Greeks ANEL MP Marina Chrysoveloni was elected secretary.

The voting took place by the committee’s members, however the main opposition Radical Left SYRIZA party, Communist KKE party and ultranationalist Golden Dawn GD party did not participate in the voting procedures.
