Journalists’ 24-hour strike from 6 a.m. Wednesday

Journalist strike action a day ahead of the general strike on Thursday so that journalists can cover it

Journalists in Greece are holding a 24-hour strike on Wednesday as part of an action called by the country’s two major unions – the Greek Workers Association ADEDY and the National Confederation of Greek Workers GSEE.

There will be no news from 6 a.m. local time on Wednesday to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Journalists will rally outside their Greek Journalists’ Union (ESIEA) at noon followed by a march.

The strike will affect the update of stories on our site where only major breaking news will be covered.
