The second round of talks between Russia and Ukraine is scheduled for Thursday, but “the Ukrainian group has again found some reasons to postpone them”, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Russian foreign minister reiterated Moscow’s claims that it had launched a “special operation” in Ukraine on February 24 following Kiev’s failure to resolve the Donbas conflict through the Minsk agreements and “hidden threats to acquire nuclear weapons”.
Lavrov expressed confidence that a solution to the Ukrainian crisis would be found, noting that Moscow’s demands were “minimal”, he said.
