Leonard Cohen’s son goes home to Montreal and Greece

He calls Hydra home.

42-year-old Adam Cohen, son of singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, returned home to the family home in Montreal and the family vacation spot on the isle of Hydra bought for just $1,500 by his father in 1961. The decision came after he scrapped an entire disc that he recorded in CD and decided to record an album of stripped-down tunes called “We Go Home.”

He said that the reason he scrapped his record was the feeling of anxiety he felt in L.A. Not only did he return to his roots but he also included a picture of his seven-year-old son Cassius on the album front cover and a back picture of Adam with his 80-year-old father when he was five.
