Conservative New Democracy (ND) leadership candidate Adonis Georgiadis spoke for the first time about the results of the December 20 elections for a party leader. He congratulated Vangelis Meimarakis and Kyriakos Mitsotakis for their success, stating that the latter won his second place on merit.

He said that he would personally support Mitsotakis in the second round of elections on January 10, stressing that this is his personal choice and by no means a “line” he would like his supporters to follow.
