New march in the centre of Athens for International Women’s Day

Police have regulated the flow of traffic

Greek women marched in downtown Athens on the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8).

The gathering was organised by feminist organisations, as part of International Women’s Day. People gathered outside Syntagma Square and headed to the Propylaia, while SWAT squads were also present.

Already, due to the rally, emergency traffic measures were put into effect. In particular, vehicular traffic has been stopped on Vasilissis Amalias Avenue and Vasilissis Sofias Avenue.
