Nine Greek students in the 8th Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics

The Greek students are scheduled to travel to Romania on July 31, accompanied by their professors.

Two teams made up of nine students will represent Greece in the 8th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics that will take place in Suceava, Romania on August 2-10, 2014.

The nine students, some of the finest minds in secondary education schools nationwide, took very demanding test and managed to be selected among a total of 200 candidates.

The tests were organized by the Astronomy & Space Association under the auspices of the ministry of education.

The difficult task of their preparation for the prestigious international competition was undertaken by a team of distinguished professors and students from Greek and foreign universities.
