The Greek Communist Party (KKE) chose not to feature kids in its pre-election TV spot as has been the case with conservative political campaigns. It relied instead on the well-known hit by songster Manolis Lidakis – “It was Fake” (Itan Pseftika). The song – written by composer Akis Panou who died in prison after achieving notoriety when he killed his daughter’s partner – is interspersed with moments from Greek Parliament, filled with broken promises across the political spectrum.
