No children in TV spot by Greek Communists

The KKE chose a song by popular Greek singer Manolis Lidakis to kick off its political campaign ahead of the elections on January 25

The Greek Communist Party (KKE) chose not to feature kids in its pre-election TV spot as has been the case with conservative political campaigns. It relied instead on the well-known hit by songster Manolis Lidakis – “It was Fake” (Itan Pseftika). The song – written by composer Akis Panou who died in prison after achieving notoriety when he killed his daughter’s partner –  is interspersed with moments from Greek Parliament, filled with broken promises across the political spectrum.
