The appearance of an unusually bright meteor above Norway on Saturday night caused intense concern among many Norwegians.
The meteor was visible mainly in southern Norway, since the glow caused by the burning of the celestial body during its entry into the Earth’s atmosphere was blinding.
The concern of some residents was so great that they called the police.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute says the meteorite was part of the annual meteor shower that accompanies the northern Taurides.
