The Olympic Flame arrived with a procession of 15 cars from the Hellenic Olympic Committee, coming from the Peloponnese

Piraeus welcomed the Olympic Flame of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games “Paris 2024”, participating in the world’s largest sports event.

The Olympic Flame arrived with a procession of 15 cars from the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC), coming from the Peloponnese, with the torch relay starting from Clock Square, at Miaouli Coast.

The route followed by the torch relay on the main streets of Piraeus was as follows: Miaoulis Coast, Sachtouri, Frantzis Street, Zea Marina, Moutsopoulou Coast, 2nd Merarchias Street, Heroes of Polytechnic, Municipal Theater.

The torchbearers from Piraeus carried the flame and the Olympic message of peace to central points of the city.

A reception ceremony for the Olympic Flame took place in the courtyard of the Piraeus Municipal Theater, where the Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, lit the altar.

During the ceremony, the Olympic Anthem, the National Anthem of France, and the National Anthem of Greece were played, accompanied by the simultaneous hoisting of the three flags.
