PM Tsipras meets with OECD secretary general Gurria

A lot of work is needed and a series of issues are still pending, OECD secretary general told prime minister

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras received on Thursday OECD secretary general Angel Gurria. This was the third meeting between the two officials since February 2015.

“It is very important that throughout the year we had a very good cooperation” said Mr. Tsipras to Gurria noting that all those years of the recession it is important recovery to be recorded and to find a way this recovery to embrace all the dimensions and aspects.

“First of all we must leave behind the crisis and secondly to try to take advantage of the new condition, the rise in the economy, the recovery and the growth,” he said.

On his part Mr. Gurria called the time of his visit to Greece crucial adding that they at OECD are very happy that they can support the Greek government’s reforms program.

He also stressed that a lot of work is needed and a series of issues are still pending in order this program to be implemented, however, the government is dealing with the pending issues very effectively.
