They left their positions at 6.30 am

The failed military coup attempt by a faction of the Turkish army on Friday night has resulted in the death of over 90 people, most of which are civilians and over 1,054 injured. The soldiers that had blocked off the bridge of Bosphorus, who were controlling the point, surrendered after President Erdogan finally thwarted the attempt with the backing of police and the Turkish population who took to the streets of major cities in defiance of the coup.  The 50 soldiers lied down their arms at 6.30 am on Saturday.
