Public Administrative Reform Minister reassures that evaluations aren't negative

Mr. Mitsotakis gave assurances that evaluations won’t be linked to pay cuts or dismissals

Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated that there will be no public employees’ lay-offs in case of negative appraisals in statements made on Mega TV on Friday.He said the appraisal was a tool aimed at improving public employees’ performance and urged public sector union ADEDY to end “the vicious circle of judicial controversy.” He gave assurances that public employees have nothing to feer and said they should be conducting self-evaluations as they will only be evaluated by their superiors if they fail to do this. He said reactions to the evaluation are politically motivated, blaming main opposition Coalition of the Left SYRIZA party for this.
