Russia will ban imports mainly of agricultural products, vegetables and fruits from Turkey and may extend its sanctions, if necessary, senior officials said during a meeting of the Russian government.

Moscow may delay for a few weeks the embargo on food imports so as to minimize inflationary pressures, said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Vladimirovich Dvorkovich.

First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said that Russia will not ban imports of Turkish industrial products for the time being.
