Samaras presented a pitiful picture, SYRIZA says

SYRIZA said that Samaras made it clear that the term ‘negotiation’ was foreign to his policy and his intentions

Main opposition party SYRIZA attacked Prime Minister Antonis Samaras after his meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

In an announcement issued, SYRIZA said that Mr. Samaras presented a “pitiful picture” after his meeting stressing that he “embarrasses himself and the country”.

According to SYRIZA, “Mr. Samaras without questioning the memorandum program he made it clear that the term ‘negotiation’ is foreign to his policy and his intentions” while stressing that there was a huge distance between Mr. Samaras and the current painful social reality.

The announcement also referred to Prime Minister’s refusal to reply, at Merkel’s suggestion, whether he was against relaxing austerity and said that made him the most devoted supporter of German Chancellor in Europe.

“No handshake with any foreign leader can save him,” SYRIZA stressed.
