Second gold for Antigoni Drisbiotis in the 20 km race walk in European Championships

The 38-year-old athlete from Karditsa succeeded again, she stepped on the gas in the last kilometres and won her second gold medal in Germany

After winning the 35 km race walk just 4 days ago, Antigoni Drisbiotis made history, as she won the 20 kilometres race at the European Championships in Munich.

Four days after winning the gold medal in the 35 km walk, Drisbiotis won the gold medal in the 20 km walk with a personal record (1:29.03), in the event.

The Greek champion felt good physically and decided at the last minute yesterday together with her coach Napoleon Kegalopoulos, to take part in the race, mainly to enjoy, without any stress, her participation in the distance. The silver medal was won by the Polish Katarzyna Zdzieblo with +0.17 from Antigoni Drisbiotis and the bronze by the German Saskia Feige with +0.22 from the Greek.
