Six dead after train collides with two SUVs north of New York

A massive fire broke out after the collision, which spread to the front passenger cars of the train

At  least six people lost their lives after a collision of a passenger train with two oncoming vehicles in White Plains, north of New York.

 

Five of the victims were on board the train, while one of the  SUV drivers has also been killed.

 

According to reports the train caught on fire after the collision with the two vehicles which could not move off the rails in time. Twelve more people have been injured, while the circumstances behind the accident are still being investigated.
