A class of Athens area pupils on a daytrip to a nearby park witnessed a fatal stabbing on Tuesday

Shortly after 9 a.m. and while the pupils from the local high school in the east Athens district of Holargos were taking a stroll in the park, they witnessed a man running their way, chased by another.

As the men reached the park, the man in pursuit caught up to the victim and started stabbing him in the chest, in front of the teenagers!

The victime fall to the ground while the perpetrator fled.

“When we neared the victim, he took two deep breaths, said nothing, and died”, one students to police.

The students called EMS as they neared the victim, but the man, aged 35-40 died before paramedics reached the scene.
