Supermodels and their weirdest requests

In a book written by Carole Wight

Carole Wight heads one of the largest fashion model agencies in the world. She has been responsible for the careers of some of the most famous names ever to float over the catwalk, such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer are some of the names she had under her care.

Now, in her new book, she reveals the peculiar likes and dislikes of these supermodels.

Some of the facts, arising from Linda Evangelista’s “I don’t get out of bed for less than 10,000 dollars”:

Carole Wight used to pretend that the photoshoot or event was 2 to 3 hours earlier than usual, to compensate for the extreme tardiness of supermodels.

She used to empty out mini-bar alcoholic drinks and fill them with bottled water because models were prone to abusing alcohol.

She used to have to pay for the partners of the supermodels and their seat on the Concorde supersonic airplanes that said models used to fly between the US and Europe.

Five star hotels were a must. One model wanted rose petals on her bed, while another wished for sex toys in her room. Russian caviar and Fitzi water were the norm.

Carole states that Claudia Schiffer was the most dedicated model, and the best to work with, while Christy Turlington was the prettier. Kate Moss, apparently, has a great sense of humour, while Naomi Campbell called Carole Wight “mom”.

Carole also mentions the beauty standards that led many girls to the point of anorexia nervosa, highlighting that her girls were always healthy, and that she is completely against bony, dried- up modelling.
