The negotiations with US for the 20 F-35s for Greece are starting

The first two are expected to be delivered in 2028

The countdown for the signing of the procurement contract for the 20 F-35s by the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) has begun.

As announced by the Greek Ministry of Defense, the relevant authorities of the USA sent the necessary Letter of Acceptance (LOA) on Wednesday, which means there is a 60-day window for the two parties to reach an agreement on the contract.

As is known, the total cost of the procurement is expected to reach 3.2 billion euros, and the first two deliveries are expected in 2028, while the completion of the delivery process of the 20 fighter jets is expected by 2035.
