Riots have broken out at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with clashes between masked men and riot police raging. So far, seven arrests have been made.

It all started when hooded men entered the building of the Faculty of Philosophy, set up barricades at the entrance with desks and chairs, and threw objects at the police officers. Then riot police forces responded with the use of chemicals.

A few minutes after the riot police left the campus, masked men attacked again, from inside the UAS, with stones at the police forces on Egnatia. The police responded with the use of flash-bang grenades and tear gas.
