A reversal in the widening trend between SYRIZA and New Democracy polls is depicted in the latest two polls run for Proto Thema newspaper, by Alco.  The gap between the two parties has narrowed down to 3.6%.

The percentage of citizens who appreciate the decision to expedite presidential elections is at 58% whereas 23% think it was a misstep.

SYRIZA, however, who obtains a 27.6% in the poll is first, but since the first time in April of 2014, is giving way to New Democracy on voting intentions, from 4.8% in the previous poll, to 3.6% to this one.

ND gathers 24%, compared with SYRIZA’s 27.6%, while PASOK emerges as the fourth party at 5%.

Of other parties, Golden Dawn remains in third place with 5.6%, followed by PASOK with 5%, KKE at 4.4%, POTAMI by 4.1% and ANEL at 2.9%.

At the same time, according to a poll by Kapa Research for “Vima” newspaper, ND shows a gap of only 2.8% against SYRIZA, closing down from 3.6% in the previous month.

It is also characteristic that the majority of people interviewed, want nothing to do with early elections.
