V. Marinakis: “Today, Piraeus goes up a level”

Olympiacos’ president exercised his voting rights

“Piraeus is going up a level, today. I invite Piraeus citizen to participate with us for a better Piraeus, a Piraeus deserving of its citizens, to see them proud once more. I wish us all the best”.

With this statement to protothema.gr, president of Olympiacos and alderman candidate on Mr. Morali’s ballot, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis set the tone of local elections for the great harbour’s municipality.

Mr. Marinakis exercised his right to vote in the 20th Primary School of Piraeus. Arriving at the polling station, he was received with enthusiasm by attendees, and indicatively, the legal representative of the department was eager to be photographed with the president of Olympiacos, as well as others, including young children.

Mr. Marinakis waited in line to vote behind two other voters, who were happy to let him go first. He, instead, refused, and waited his turn, talking to other voters and electoral representatives.

Overall, Mr. Marinakis took 40 minutes to complete his vote, since every step of the way he was encircled by people who cheered and called out to him for a photo.
