War in Ukraine: Moscow-Kiev talks resume after break

Ukraine calls for ceasefire & immediate withdrawal of Russian troops – Moscow appears to be seeking “an agreement in the interests of both sides”

Russia’s negotiations with Ukraine were temporarily suspended for a break and after more than three hours, while the Russian invasion continues for 5 days.

Although information initially indicated that the talks were over, Belarusian media reported that they were continuing and an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian president’s office said, according to RIA Novosti, that negotiations were continuing and would soon enter the third round.

The talks between the delegations of the two countries are taking place at the “Aleksandrovka – Vilcha” point in the city of Gomel in Belarus.

According to leaks from Zelensky’s office, the Ukrainian delegation in talks with Russia called for the withdrawal of all Russian forces from Ukrainian territory, including Crimea and Donbass.

The Ukrainian delegation arrived there by helicopter. It includes the Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Deputy Foreign Minister Totsicki, Zelensky’s adviser Mikhail Podoliak, MPs Arakamia and Umerov and the representative of the Tripartite Contact Group, Kostin.
