Canadian author and social activist Naomi Klein, who is best known for best seller “No Logo” and “The Shock Doctrine”, expressed her support for main opposition SYRIZA in Greece’s upcoming general election.

In her statement, the best-selling writer made specific reference to SYRIZA candidate MP Ilias Livanis, who is also her publisher in Greece.

“We need SYRIZA to win these elections to prevent more brutal doses of the Shock Doctrine. I’m very proud that Ilias Livanis, my publisher, who did such terrific job bringing The Shock Doctrine to Greek readers, is running as a SYRIZA candidate. I’ll be watching closely and give him my support.”
