All Covid-19 tests on UK travellers to Greece come back negative

A total of 2,803 passengers were tested in two days

The results of the widespread Covid-19 tests performed on passengers arriving in Greece from the UK were very encouraging, as all 2,803 came back negative in the two days.

More specifically, on July 15, 1,366 tests were performed on passengers who traveled directly from British airports in our country. On July 16, 1,437 tests were performed.

It should be noted that the direct flights to Greece included from cities like Birmingham and Manchester, areas where high epidemiological loads have been recorded.

Two cases were found on transit flights from London via Paris and Larnaca. Their contacts have been tracked and have been isolated.

Mass tests on flights from Britain continue and the results will be announced in the coming days.
