In an official announcement released on Wednesday, the foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attack which took place yesterday at a museum in Tunis.

We unequivocally condemn the deadly terrorist attack on a museum in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, targeting Tunisian citizens as well as tourists visiting this country that, for the wider region, is an model of democratic transition and maturity of political institutions.

We express our condolences to the victims’ loved ones and our undivided support for the people and government of Tunisia.

Greece will remain at the side of every country that is afflicted by the irrational violence of terrorism and threatened by the barbaric jihadist movement.
