An application designed by High school students of Secondary Public Education in Corfu Greece won in this year’s international competition ‘Faces of Computing’
On December 11, Computer Science Teacher Association (CSTA) announced the winners and gave the first prize to Greek students for Neverlost app.
Neverlost was designed for Android phones aiming to help children with special needs to communicate with their parents in case of emergency. The app is available only in Greek, at the moment and is available on Google Play Store.
The theme of this year’s competition was “Computing for the Common Good.” and Neverlost app was chosen because it encourages students to show their awareness on issues beyond their everyday life as well as how technology can help make the world a better place.
