Higher government source stated to protothema.gr that the topic of memorandum extension was not in the agenda .

According to another source of the Ministry of Finance the reports by Bloomberg probably refer to scenarios involving extension of the rescue program for only a few days until the approval process from the national parliaments of the EU member states is completed immediately after the Christmas holidays.

Earlier Bloomberg had broadcast a Greek government official statement saying that Greece will not accept an extension of the Bailout plan.

Indicative of the criticality of negotiations between the Greek government and Troika is the announcement of an extraordinary meeting  between Samaras – Venizelos at 10 am on Thursday morning to discuss the latest developments.

Despite the fact that Troika appears uncompromising in all open issues, information of the Maximou Mansion indicates loud and clear to all that they will not back down.

Besides, according to the same information, the Greek Prime Minister prior to the meeting in Paris had set a strict order to the Greek negotiations delegation team, not to discuss at all the issues on tax increases or cuts in salaries and pensions.
