The Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni is considered the focal point of religious activities on the island. It is stands on a hill over the main town of Lefkada and offers visitors an incredible vista of the whole island and its capital, the northern side of the island and the mainland coast of Greece. It is located in the small village of Frini and is the patron of the island.
