Singer Ilias Vrettos asks fans to pray for him in emotional post on social media

He will undergo surgeries to address the fractures he suffered

Greek singer Ilias Vrettos, who is recovering in hospital after the near-fatal crash he had on Clean Monday, addressed his Instagram fans through a photo he posted and a few emotional phrases.

“The toughest battle begins tomorrow … Pray to God so that I come out victorious! When there is so much love, miracles happen … That’s why I am alive after all this … and now I promise you I will fight more than ever before … with a smile, strength, determination, and optimism … like I ALWAYS do!!! Thank you”., he wrote in his post.

The singer asked for help from his friends as he will be undergoing a series of surgeries starting tomorrow for the fractures he sustained in his hand, foot, and pelvis. The most severe of the injuries are in the pelvic region.

Sophia Fyrou, the singer’s partner who was driving the car at the time of the accident, was discharged from hospital.
