Government spokesperson Sophia Voultepsi stated earlier this morning that the government proceeds to state direction of labour.

Mrs. Voultepsi said that “Government’s priority was and still is to safeguard the welfare of the general public.” And added that “following the Athens court decision according to which the strike of PPC workers is illegal and abusive and should be stopped immediately and since trade unions have not complied with the court decision, the government proceeds to requisition of PPC workers in public service.”
