In Parliament with votes of 50 “yes” and 47 “no” went through the provision at issue with uniformed representatives of trade unions expressing their displeasure.

In particular, immediately after the announcement of the result, Mr. Christos Fotopoulos said that “tomorrow the federations will notify throughout Greece the names of the Members which with their vote the Article 221 of the multi-bill passed, because this means the end to our insurance system”.

They also indicated that tomorrow they will examine “the manner in which they will protest”.

Note that at Wednesday noon the uniformed held a protest in the Kolokotronis square and then march to the Parliament.
