According to a report by TMZ, during rehearsals for Nicki Minaj’s upcoming MTV Video Music Awards performance of her new single, “Anaconda,” one of the backup dancer was bitten on Friday by a 6-foot snake.

The dancer, whose name remains unknown, is being treated at a local hospital in Los Angeles.

The snake, according to the L.A. Fire Department, was a boa constrictor, a non-poisonous species.

It’s unknown whether the snake will still be featured in Minaj’s performance on Sunday.
