Three government general secretaries tendered their resignations on Tuesday, aiming to run for parliament with the New Democracy party in the next general elections.

The above mentioned officials are General Secretary of Coordination Dimitris Vartzopoulos and General Secretaries of Communication and Mass Media Andreas Katsaniotis and Yiannis Panagiotopoulos.

According to sources, Dimitris Vartzopoulos will run with New Democracy party in Thessaloniki’s 2nd electoral district.

Andreas Katsaniotis and Yiannis Panagiotopoulos are expected to run in Achaia and Arcadia respectively.

In the next few days, more general secretaries are expected to resign for the same reason, the same sources report.
